What do the candidates say about Bertie Park?

40 people attended the Hustings at St Lukes on Friday 26th. With Anna Railton (Labour), Ben Christopher (Oxford Independent Alliance), Nuala Young (Green Party) and Rick Tanner (Lib-dem) all present, there was lively discussion of many topics. These included flooding, sewage problems and the Grandpont cycle bridge.

  1. Anna Railton is not listening to her constituents when it comes to protecting the 2 green spaces in the southern part of the ward, ie Bertie Park and Redbridge meadow. Given the worsening flooding situation in this part of the ward it is all the more important that more pressure isn’t put on the land here and Bertie Park and Redbridge meadow stay as they are. Vote Railton out. I’m going to vote either Lib Dem or Green.
